Festivals and Cultural Tours in Israel You Need to See

Throughout the year there are festivals and cultural Tours in Israel you need to see if you are able to plan your travel dates to coincide with them. Keep in mind these events draw very large crowds so you need to secure your reservations and accommodations early for them.

Walk About Love

Each year from October through December, people come to Israel from all over the world to be part of the Walk About Love. This walk spans across the National Trail. It takes about 80 days to complete it. People can do all of it or just portions of it.

Fresh Paint Tel Aviv

For art enthusiasts, this is a one-of-a-kind event. It features work by well-known artists as well as new artists with pieces that will be sold or displayed in art galleries around Israel. It is a time to learn about art, to meet artists, and even to offer some of your own work if you are an artist. It continues to grow in terms of pieces of artwork and the number of visitors every single year.

Jerusalem Festival of Lights

For a week in June each year, the Old City of Jerusalem is lit up. This includes many pieces of architecture around the structure. There is live music, reenactments of early historical events, and plenty of artwork. In the evening, there is a dance and plenty of rituals that take place in this sacred area. There are four distinct routes, each lit up to and from the Old City for this event.

Yom Haatzmaut

This is the annual celebration of the Israeli declaration of independence. It takes place in either late April or early May. Flags are flown and there is a ceremony early in the day. There are speeches, tours, food, music, and more. Each year the event seems to get larger and to attract more people.
