Arad Is Still Unknown but More Tourists Are Coming
Arad isn’t the most well-known place in Israel, but slowly more tourists are coming. This influx stems from those who have been there sharing their experience. It makes it a place other travelers add to their agenda. This area wasn’t settled until 1965 and today it only has about 25,000 people living here.
The air here is said to be very clean, and people with severe asthma come here from locations around the world to see if they can breathe more easily. Many of them are able to do so and decide to make it their permanent home.
Tel Arad
This is an old city area to the west. There is a market there on the weekends where you can buy fresh produce, or alternatively you can enjoy the handmade items on offer. There are paintings and sculptures and plenty of inside views into the culture of this region. At night, there is music and dancing.
Arad Park
This is part of the hiking trails offered in this area. There are also bike rentals that can be taken along the trails. There are many kinds of animals, plants, and flowers to see during your hike. It also offers a very lovely view. It runs through a portion of the Israel National Trail. Most of these trails are simple enough for anyone to travel along. As you get deeper in, there are branches leading to more difficult trails if you desire.
Arad Festival
Every summer, the Arad festival of music, food, street vendors and more is offered here. The event seems to draw more and more people every single year. This includes people who travel from around Israel to enjoy it and tourists who happen to be in the area at the time. The music is very diversified, and often there are several stages where different music is being played at once.
