There are numerous stories about what has taken place in the Hula Valley that bring people to the area. Stories of wonders and miracles bring people here in the hope that they will feel better physically or they will get some comfort mentally. There is no question that the area is very pretty and tranquil. The rich green colors are visible as far as the eyes can see.

Exploring Nature

It is believed that early cultures here were able to survive thanks to the Hula Lake and the surrounding swampy regions. Today, these areas are home to a large nature reserve with plenty of room for plants, flowers, and animals to thrive. The trails through this area give you an up-close and personal look at the elements that Mother Nature presents. This nature center also features volunteers who will share the history of the area with you and provide guided tours.

Birds and Migration

Many species of birds travel through the Hula Valley during the migratory season. This draws people to the area to take pictures and to see them in their natural environment. Make sure you bring along your camera and your binoculars. There are observation points with telescopes, but they are of a limited number. There are guided tours through the birds’ habitat as well. The cliffs are a remarkable place to take pictures and just enjoy the magical scenery.

Archeological areas can be found around this area, including Tel Hatzor. There is a great museum known as Tel Hai, where you can spend a day exploring. There are plenty of activities in this region of Israel taking place all year round. There are cultural events and the chance to buy homemade items. Many of these events are held annually so the influx of tourists can depend on what it taking place. There are plenty of hotels that offer you a great place to stay. They range from very basic to very luxurious.
