There Is Much More to Galilee than Just the Sea

Due to the various Biblical references, the Sea of Galilee is very well-known. Yet there is much more to this area than just the sea, and many people overlook this. The area is quite vast and often broken down for reference as Upper, Lower, and Western Galilee. The landscape is very remarkable here with blue waters and lovely mountains. The area also includes green trees and grasses for as far as the eyes can see. This area gets plenty of rainfall which keeps the ground looking healthy.

Trails for Exploring

There are various trails in Galilee for exploring the area. Some of them take you to various arches and caves that have been created from the rocks by the water over long spans of time. One of these areas worth checking out is Keshet Cave. It is quite common for people to take photos here with the lovely landscape in the background.

Residents of Galilee live close together in village regions. You can explore these areas and see first-hand the culture offered. Many of these villages welcome visitors and sell handmade items. You may be interested in purchasing some of them to take home with you as mementos of your travels. The heart of Galilee offers a town square where there are markets and plenty of items for sale. There is often music and other forms of entertainment.

Historical Elements

Many of the historical elements of the pilgrims who came to this area and spread Christianity are located here. There are museums, old churches, and monuments that people come from all over the world to see in person. The Jesus Trail is believed to be the one that follows the trek of the pilgrims, and there are 40 miles of terrain to cover for anyone interested in hiking all of it or a portion of it.
